Happy Thanksgiving and Then Some!

ThanksgivingHappy Thanksgiving and Then Some!

This is that traditional day set aside for remembering why our lives are much better than many of us will admit to the other 364 days!  Have there been challenges?  Of course, but challenges are just another way for all of us to apply lessons learned and overcome!

We've aged and we need more maintenance than we used to, but we have our health and no major ailments.

We may not have the shiniest, latest bells and whistle automobiles, but we have two that work and they're paid for.

We're not as physically close to our families as we might like to be most of the year, but we're close enough that some hours of driving get us there, and thanks to technology we're a few touchpad pushes away from a phone call, email or text in moments.

We may not have the biggest home, but we have one.  It's warm, it's safe, it has everything we truly need and more.

We may not have the biggest real estate business in the land, but we have loyal clients that understand the market and work with us to succeed.  It's "just right" for us.

We may not be monetarily rich, but we have enough to share.

We may have to pay more for our schools next year, but that means the levies passed and our schools will stay some of the best in the state!

We may not vacation much, but we have the luxury of having traveled in our lives, to gain the perspective of just how blessed our country is.

We may not know everything we want to know, but we still have the ability to learn.

We may not be able to say everything we want to say, but we always have the choice to say it.  Special thanks to all those going in harm's way to protect those rights.

So we want to spend these few moments to thank God for our family, our friends, our clients.  It's been a year with many blessings, and we count you among them!

We hope your Thanksgiving is a day filled with blessings!

Hi BLiz--what a beautifully written post.  Appreciating what we have, which is always enough, is such a wonderful gift.  I am personally grateful for finally being able to understand that.

Kymberly, It was a good day spent with family :)  No miles put on the car for the day!  Hope yours was great too!

Joni, We got all our driving done on Tuesday and Wednesday, so none yesterday.  About 12 hours total, but easily worth it :)  Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Janet, It's not something that comes naturally early in life, but now family time is more important than ever.

Cheryl, Our pets are always part of our lives aren't they? :)

Anthony, It's part of the game of Life, real estate just adds some different wrinkles to it :)

Phil, You're welcome!

Conrad, The healthy and well part is so critical, hoping the same for you!

Debbie, Our backgrounds give us a perspective on what's "enough".  We routinely see people in huge homes, yet they're still not happy with what they have, failing to comprehend how blessed they are if they'd just see it that way.  Seeing family reminds us what's really important.

Jared, Thanks!  It's a good life when we choose to see it :)

Well said, Bliz.  I think I like Thanksgiving best of all because the focus is on what we're thankful for rather being as commercialized as Christmas and other holidays.  It's a great time to reflect.  Happy Friday!

Mike, Definitely not as commercialized, the no gift giving, just spending time with family is nice.
