Although many of us Active Rainers feel we get to know each other somewhat from our blog posts and comments, and a few of us may have done some business together, we also have AR members right in our own areas whom we have never actually met.
Well, if you have never been to an Active Rain Meetup in your area, keep an eye out for the next one. They come up two or three times a year and they are so much fun!
In the Sacramento area, we have had three such meetups, and this most recent one last week was probably the most successful yet, as far as how many of us attended, although all three have been great. We had 17 at this meetup - all members, and I know that next time it will be even more.
Ours was at the Yard House Restaurant in Roseville, CA this time, and was set for Friday from 3-6 pm. As often happens, a few people had other engagements and arrived a little late, but we all had time to visit and laugh and share stories and learn more about each other.
In the group photo above, not everyone had yet arrived, so I got a few candid shots to include those who missed the group one. As you can see, we all looked as if we had known each other much of our lives - and we even felt that way to some extent! See how many of these folks you recognize from their blog profile photos.
I recommend that you subscribe to the official AR blog written by Kerrie so that you can stay apprised of what fun things are coming up.
