Facing up to our fears is the only path to positive growth!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Richard Weisser Realty

Standing alone against your fearsI stand alone, exempt from fear,
Above the ranks that disappear,
I stand alone, and come what may
I’ll make it through another day!
            (R Weisser 2012)

We are all aware that each day presents new opportunities and unique challenges that can be either confronted or ignored.

The fear of failure is often employed to rationalize inaction. But we all have our own trepidations, and yet some choose to ignore the risks and consequences and choose to press forward.

Courage is NOT the absence of fear. Rather, it is the quality of character that allows us to move on despite our most fearsome reservations.

We can choose to face our fears.

Or otherwise, we will never blossom.

Stepping out to the unknown is brave.....and hiding from what we do not know brings security with a price.

Life does not get easier, you get stronger, develop courage to step out of your boundaries. Push those boundaries on a day as you go basis. Live in today, embrace today. The lion had courage... had to realize it himself. (click click of ruby red slippers sound, glitz, sparks)

Richard- anyone can step up to the plate when nothing is at risk.  It's facing the challenge when you have those fears that helps us grow.

Richard, I love your poem, and your words are so true. Fear is the one thing that can stop me dead in my tracks. Sometimes I don't even realize it.

Richard, well said... Agreed, it's not the lack of fear, but what we do with it. I wish, like you, I could convey so much with so few words. Enjoy the day!

I learned a long time ago that fear and excitement are one in the same.....fear breads excitement and enthusiasm if one breaks throught the boundary they've placed on themselves in their mind.

There are some people I would love to share this with.  THey let fear cripple them in their decision making and really limit their potential.
