Nashua, New Hampshire ranked 93 out of the top 100 best small cities to live by Money Magazine in 2012.
This is the third time Nashua, New Hampshire has been recognized by Money Magazine.
Nashua ranked No. 1 as the Best Place to Live in America in 1987 and 1997.
Nashua is home to many high tech companies such as BAE and Oracle. Also, mentioned was the proximity to the Boston area and tax free shopping at Pheasant Lane Mall and the new outlets in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
The original name for Nashua was Dunstable. In 1836, the town adopted the Nashua River's Name "Nashaway" which means "a beautiful rive with a pebbly bottom" and "land between two rivers."
Today Nashua is known as "The Gate City."
Nashua combines an excellent quality of life with being minutes from the New Hampshire Seacoast, the White Mountains and the Boston, MA area.
One of the things people like about Nashua is that it has the feel of a small town, but has all of the amenities of a larger town. Nashua has many beautiful parks. One of my favorites parks is Greeley Park, where there are a lot of free events througout the spring, summer and autumn months of the year.
There is not shortage of culture in Nashua. It has a symphony, theater, entertainment and baseball. It also has an award-winning Newspaper, The Telegraph.
Nashua has numerous schools, both public and private which range from pre-school though college.
Downtown Nashua has many wonderful restaurants, botiques and entertainment as well as a vibrant business community. Recently, downtown Nashua began offer free wifi.
Nashua has many styles of homes and housing options ranging from Single family homes, condominiums, multi-family homes and rentals.
