It’s the 27th Annual Delray Beach Turkey Trot-Saturday, November 23, 2013!

There’s still time to register for the 27th Annual Delray Beach Turkey Trot being held this Saturday, November 23 at Anchor Park. All proceeds will benefit the Keith Straghn Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving Drive.

WHEN: Saturday, November 23, 2013

TIME: 6:00-7:20 am Registration

7:30 am- 5K run

7:35 am- 5K walk

WHERE: Anchor Park

340 S. Ocean Blvd

Delray Beach FL

Entry Fees:

8-10 years of age- Free with 2 non-perishable foods

5K Run- $12.00 11-14 years

$30.00 15 & over

5K Health walk-$7.00 11-14 years

$25.00 15 & over

You can register for the event at this site.

Need to know:

* The run/walk is along beautiful A1A… just along the ocean... in Delray Beach

* Awards- will be given for the 5K RUN in 15 Divisions.

* the run is USATF certified!

* This is Florida, so the weather could be warm and humid. Be sure to drink lots of water before the run.

* The metered parking at Sandoway Park will be free from

6 to 9 am.

* Non-perishable food donations will gladly be accepted!

Conrad- it is! We missed last year because we were out of town but will be there this year.

Wayne- I have been reading about some of the different turkey trots around the country.

John- it really is and what's fun is seeing the different age groups participating.

BARFF- it really doesn't! And a very good cause.

Bobbie- we'll be relishing in it!!

Dorie- I checkedand it will be in the 80's!!

Kristin- we have so many outdoor activities going on during the season that it's hard to keep up.

Scott- our great weather is a huge selling point, isn't it.

Michael- I love Thanksgiving and am looking forward to mashed potatoes and stuffing!!

Richard and Beth- absolutely. We can help cheer them on and donate our non-perishable food!!!
