I read a post last week where comments came in and someone didn't agree with the original poster. Well that's not unusual however they chose to say so in pretty certain terms but still acceptable. Where it broke down is when the original poster over-reacted to that commenting and let loose
DON'T PULL THAT TRIGGER
If this was a a face to face to so be it. Family argument is a good arena to get it done as well. But when we are live on the air blogging one must show restraint of some sort to refrain from letting loose. I know all systems are saying launch, but realize it is a TEMPTATION and do NOT give in to it
FIX THAT SPRING
You would think that the time it takes to read through the comment and then to form a response would bring some cooling off known as a pause in the the earthly parlance. If that didn't work, then your SPRING that springs you into action is broken and flying every which way
UNINVITED BUT EXPECTED GUESTS
We are marketing ourselves through our posts, blogs and comments. In addition to each one of us getting to know one another and how we think and conduct business as well as sharing some hurdles and tips, others who we don't know are inviting themselves into our world too
WHATS YOUR BRAND?
Did they come to see two agents or more going for each others throat? I know bloopers and outtakes are a hit for some and entertaining at times for others but are we in that business? Do you want BLOOPER or clown associated with your branding? How about short tempered, vindictive, and angry? whoa
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
Disagree? No problem? Have another point of view? Go for it. Sling mud pies? Stop that! Show me how you handle these things professionally instead. I want to see "cool under fire" talents unleashed. When I do, then I have really sampled who you are and what you do through demonstration and not someone imitating a loose canon on deck.
THE LAST SMOOCH
Can you imagine a client, principal, magazine, news editor or TV show reading something of interest (like your blog), making notes, taking the next step of wanting to contact that person and then the blow up scene enters in and the one who wanted to do business with you or share your savvy imagines what it is like when they disagree with you. They have seen enough...The kiss of death...smack!
If you are going to sell anything...sell Real Estate but don't sell yourself short either
