ActiveRain Yackup - Whoops I mean Meetup
Due to a big winter storm that hit Phoenix our ActiveRain meetup was small and yet very delightful.We normally have a big group at our meetups and I'm sure it will be again in the spring time when the snow and ice melt. I am kidding about the snow!
It was so nice to be able to sit and chat with Jan Green - just the two of us and Mr. Banana of course! He was a good sport to sit between 2 rain yackers! Jan has had a tough month or so as she just went through back surgery. She's doing pretty good and looking forward to getting back into blogging again soon. Jan and I have been friends for many years now and it's a gift!

This yacking phenomenon happens all the time no matter where I am in the country visiting rainers- and that's a good thing! There is a never ending list of stuff to talk about - kind of like there is a never ending list to blog about.
Tonight I'm excited about another meetup with Belinda Spillman and her 
husband Craig. They're in town trying to warm up a bit from the Denver snow storm. You can imagine their surprise seeing snow on the cars in Phoenix!
They stopped by yesterday on their way into town to drop off a surprise for Mr. Banana - green chili sauce from his favorite place in Denver - The Brewery Bar. That's a rainer for you - going out of their way to surprise somebody! Mr Banana is a happy camper having his green chili sauce just in time for the Super Bowl!
Tonight we're going to be grilling steaks outside and enjoying the sunset - poolside while sipping on margaritas. A little birdie just happened to mention Belinda loves margaritas. Margaritas during a snow storm in Phoenix should be just the right touch don't ya think?
If you haven't been to an ActiveRain meetup pull out all the stops and do whatever you can to meet fellow rainers in person. It's like meeting up with somebody you've been friends with for years. The conversation starts right where you left off online....and you know the rest.... Yack! Yack! Yack!
