At The Library
Woody Minor, an Alameda native and local historian will give a presentation on the Civic heart of Alameda on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 6:30 pm.
Minor will talk about some of the historical building in the Civic Center including City Hall which opened in 1895 and whose architects were Percy & Hamilton. The Carnegie Library was built in 1902 . The Carnegie Library was built in 1902 and designed by Willcox & Curtis
Architect and author Pierluigi Serraino will offer the modernist perspective to Woody’s historical discussion when he talks about the 10 years old Main Library. The modern main library was designed by Thomas Hacker.
