Ringing and Singing in the Rain- Sheri Sperry- A Small World After All!`
It’s funny about ActiveRain challenges and contests. The best ones are designed to motivate us to do the things that would be good for us and our business. Well, yes, points are involved. Of course they are!
So, with Debbie Reynolds Ringing and Singing in the Rain 2017 challenge, it was the opportune time to do what I’d been wanting to do for a long time...call Sheri Sperry.
Why?
Besides enjoying her posts, I’d noticed in one of her comments that she’d lived in Houston, which is my home town.
No Houstonian, or Texan for that matter, worth their salt would not try to connect with a fellow Texan!
Sheri’s family (she’s one of five children) is from Omaha. They moved to Houston where Sheri lived until she was twelve.

*I was born in Houston and lived there until I was 37.
*Larry’s daughter is from Omaha and still lives there!

Sheri met her husband at Creighton University in Omaha and have been together ever since (1972). And it is then that Sheri and her husband caught the real estate bug. They bought their first home, then got into rentals and then property management.
Sheri did property management for a relative and gained even more experience.

Sheri worked in temporary staffing in Southern California; I worked in permanent placement in Houston. In fact, she was familiar with the company I worked for.

How did she end up in Arizona?
She and Rick vacationed in Sedona, Rick fell in love with the town and the weather, and that was that!
When Sheri got her license (6 years ago) she followed successful agents and noted what they did. Smart lady! One was on ActiveRain, and the rest is history.
Rick, who was with UPS, works with Sheri, primarily behind the scenes. I’ll bet many of you Agent/couples can relate to that!
And after three years at ActiveRain what does Sheri like best about the community?
...the articles and the way people interact with each other!
If you haven’t read Sheri’s posts, stop by and introduce yourself and while you’re at it, subscribe to her blog.
