After listing 822 Cottonwood Drive in Lockwood Chase in Malvern on Thursday morning for $595,000 we rapidly had appointments being made through the weekend. In what seemed the blink of an eye we had 29 appointments, more texts than a 14 year old as my seller said. Open houses were planned for Saturday and Sunday with a one hour exclusive open house for the neighbors to see the home.
We premarketed this home through the week, with slide shows, video on Youtube and on our website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, adverts on Craigslist, syndication across the internet and of course here on ActiveRain.
The results Crazeee! as one of our local car dealers says in his adverts. At the open houses on Saturday and Sunday we lost count but estimated we had 120 people or more through the home.
We began receiving offers immediately, the seller had stated they would review offers on Sunday after the open house on that day and this was relayed through the MLS listing.
We received 11 offers, many with escalation clauses due to the beauty of this home, the amenities it offers plus the lack of homes for sale in the area. After a long time perusing the offers and consultation with some buyers a decision was made and the home is now PENDING!
