Hello Thomas - I also like the image you used in this post.  Maybe it's semantics and perhaps it's something else.   The art of meaningful conversation is not easily found these days but it is not totally lost, correct?

Both parties need to be willing to truly listen in order for conversation to happen. It seems that too often one is not.

That's a great message. Yes, an argument does end the discussion and at that point, no body learns a darn thing.
