I'm pretty sure I managed the daily recommended 10,000 steps yesterday. Although a bit breezy, the weather was gorgeous in the Greater Sacramento area. So, my daughter (Jill) and her friend (Dora), along with my grandkid (Macie) and I, jumped into the car and headed for the campus at University of California Davis. The arboretum trails are amazing this time of year. After taking in the seasonal horticulture, we trekked over to the horse barns, and then onward to visit the cows.
We weren't done with the walking after leaving the UCD campus though. A short drive to the heart of the downtown Davis provided more steps to our stride. After enjoying lunch at Noodle City, we visited a few shops and stores.
Afterward, before returning to our car, we made certain to visit "Yolo Berry Yogurt" - or the "Let 'em Eat Cake Shop" next door. Two of us went for the yogurt. The other two grabbed cake!*Just to clarify - That's wind that's blown up my windbreaker, not body fat!😊
