Diane and I have been going to the Festival of Books for the past 24+ years. If memory serves me correctly, we only missed the first two... Now with that said this year we did not get a new coffee mug. Usually, we get one every year commemorating our visit to the Festival of Books. This year was a total disappointment.The marketing was too vague and too discouraging. In the old days if you wanted to see an author you did not have to pay to enter. This year the message was mistakenly focused on, that you cannot get to see a panel or an author unless you pay for a ticket. Really??? False messaging. Sadly, many bought into this message including us.I told Diane it was just poor English and not clear messaging... we disagreed... on a side note I was right.So, with that said, let me tell you...

Yes, indeedy, the developer is still selling units at 655 Hope. They're doing it in stages, so there are still some units that are available that don't appear on this list. Those units that aren't on this list are available for all cash purchase at this moment, and if you can wait, financing should be available on those units in the next few months once a few more units go into escrow. Sellers Stop Camouflaging Your Great Home by Wearing an Overpriced Listing!  I wrote a blog last week about unrealistic expectations when it came to competitively pricing a home on factors other than comparables (comps) of recently sold homes and nearby active homes for sale of similar size and feature.  The blog fetched over 100 comments but one in particular stood out to me.  The commenter mentioned that a $40,000 difference may not have mattered if the home was in the higher price range of $700K.  This could very well be the case in some markets, but in the LA market, I tend to disagree and here's why.
