The Pulitzer Prize Committee has acknowledged that after first ignorning the tab's stories regarding John Edwards and his mistress, that the paper will be considered for an investigative reporting and national new reporting awards....and that it might even deserve to win one.
The Committee gave the official nod to the paper's coverage of Edward's double life in stories that were first ignored, then dismissed and finally acknowledged by the mainstream media. Rielle Hunter requested a North Carolina count to suppress a supposed sex-tape of her and John Edwards while she was pregnant with Edwards’ child. Edwards’ ex-mistress was granted a restraining order against former Edwards’ aide and confidant, Andrew Young whose tell-all book The Politician has just been released. Young has admitted that he is in possession of the tape which he says shows Edwards having sex with a woman who he believes is Hunter. Hunter gave birth to Edwards’s child in February, 2008.
