Fishhawk Lake inDecember 2008. Worst winter in Oregon history. It looks like we might beat the record for that year, if we remain in the temps and snowfall that we have accumulated in the last few days. More to come! Brace yourself! (Here's another photo from winters past). Sorry, not so wordless Wednesday! (25 comments)
fishhawk lake winter photos: Fishhawk Lake-Past Winter on the Lake

Fishhawk Lake-Past Winter on the Lake Happy Sunday! It's crisp, 24 degrees and frosty everywhere! So, I decided to go back to 2006 and show a photo that I did in two different ways. Taken on Northshore Drive Which one do you prefer?
This has been such a mild winter that I am craving those snowy winters from the past. Not having to wipe the dogs down from mud and slime after a hike. My dog, Jenna whom we lost 2 years ago, doing snow angels--ahhh how I miss her!
Winters gone by here at Fishhawk Lake have offered me many opportunities to get outside and capture that crystalline white/gray stark beauty!
Photos of some of the cabins that were engulfed in snow that still looked so inviting!
Woke up to a blue-white morning. (My husband is stuck in Vegas, so I'll send this to him to remind him of the beauty of Fishhawk Lake). Nothing like the early golden lights coming from a cabin on the lake on a cold morning. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I thought it would be fun and festive to show pictures of winters past at Fishhawk Lake. Here are some from the archives.
This one was taken by the spillway and the Fish Ladder, where the salmon spawn yearly.
There was snow on my lens that made it look like a moon. This is from the same vantage point, but a different day. I didn't change the tone of the photo, it came out this way because of the light....or lack thereof!
This one was in front of my old house (24 comments)
