In case you are somewhere and you can not use your iPhone or iPad or any other device...this is the sure thing to keep your hands occupied. Thinking Putty is like a silly putty but more for adults. Today at The Lecture Group we listened to Zippy Larson speak about her favorite subject... The Duchess, the King and the Baltimore Connection. Zippy has done so much research and has a wealth of information...enough to fill a semester, or two. The Smithsonian Institution Resident Associates asked her to research the Baltimore years of Wallis Warfield Simpson and devise a tour especially for them focusing on King Edward and Mrs Simpson in Baltimore. We all remember the phrase "Spring forward, Fall back" which reminds us how Daylight Saving Time affects all our time telling devices, including computers, clocks, iPhones, iPads, microwaves, car clocks and the numerous watches and time pieces we may own. Set Up The iPhone From The iPad Via Skype.. Do you remember not too long ago when I got my First Apple Product? Today the second Apple product..the iPhone arrived. What a nice way to spend a couple of hours...having lunch with a special friend named Joeann Fossland... one of the top 25 women in real estate. I am never too busy to take time see Joeann and this weekend was no exception. Since Joeann had a plane to catch at four, we met at G & M Restaurant, very convenient to the Baltimore airport.. and they do have the best crab cakes in town. October is a very exciting time at Neu-Valley Nurseries in Baltimore. There are lots of colorful mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colorfully textured gourds.If you are decorating for Halloween, this seems to be the place. We were fortunate there was not more damage. Lots of trees and debris all over our city and most has been cleaned up. What we are finding is power outages...not only in homes, condos and business but in our traffic lights. There has been an increase in accidents at intersections with non functioning traffic lights. Have to catch a flight or have to pick someone up from the Balitimore airport? Save some extra time and stop in at G&M Restaurant. If you like our Maryland blue crab delicacy, you owe it to yourself to try one of these scrumptious crabcakes! I am not sure you will find better anywhere. It's ninety degrees...but there are snowballs in Baltimore..not this kind of snowball from last winter.
These snowballs grow on trees and bushes and produce some beautiful flowers with colors ranging from white, to pink, to blue, to purple. I have heard of red but have not seen them. These bluish, purple or pink flowers add a color you don't normally see in the flower garden.
Another name for hydrangeas are snowballs, and we have some beauties in the Baltimore area. I snapped these photos at my Gardenview property that is now under contract.
