If you tried describing an upside-down house, most people would think the mortgage was upside down, underwater, or in trouble. Searching for upside-down dwellings, here are a few that showed up.
When I think of this term describing a house, it is the main level for the owner's suite, kitchen, other essential rooms, all on the same level. And the additional bedrooms and recreation room on the lower level. But this lower level is above ground.
