Contact Jim Frimmer, Century 21 Realtor in San Diego, CaliforniaAlthough I love flowers, I like it more if they smell, like lilies, hyacinths, tulips, and the like.

However, over by my bank, which I go by every day in preparation for some day being able to stop and deposit a nice commission check ☺☺, a tree virtually bloomed overnight.

It's a very beautiful pink tree. I have no idea what it is, and the plant expert who also lives here is over at Wal-Mart getting food and litter for our little tiger that roams our house. Anyway, I thought I would share two pictures of the tree:

Well I'll be checking back after the expert gets home and lets us all know what kind of tree that is.  Look like too dark a shade of pink to be cherry blossum.  Beautiful photos though.

Jim,

I'm pretty sure this looks like a Crepe Myrtle to me.

Hi Jim-

How about a close-up of the blooms.  It is gorgeous!  I was in Lowes earlier today and the scent of the Easter lilies was intoxicating!

Jim,

In southern Ontario, we're not going to have trees like that in bloom until the middle of May. Right now.... no leaves.

Jim...Really beautiful tree!  I don't have any idea what it is, but I'm quite sure we don't have it in Northern Arizona LOL.

Hi Jim, It's hard to tell, but my best guess would be crepe myrtle.  We have one in our front yard, although it hasn't broken out in full bloom yet.  Ours has a slightly different shade of blossoms, but crepe myrtle comes in many variations of color.  I'll be glad to see if Russel agrees with me.

I would guess Crepe Myrtle too but I also think it looks like a bougainvillea tree, which would explain the blooming over night feature.  Many people don't know that bougainvillea can be in the shape of a tree and not just a vine which is more common.

Jim - Not sure, but that is one beautiful display that tree is putting on. At first, it reminded me of a tree I came across when I was participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston last year. It was a Hawthorne Tree, and its beautiful color was perfect for the event. That bougainvillea tree above is beautiful too.

Yeah, me too...I love flowers. That's why I was at the top of a steep bank with my bucket and shovel, stealing daylilies, last Sunday. As I turned to leave, a horrible pricker vine caught my sock and I kicked at it to shake it off...with predictable results. Oh, yes...I landed hard on the asphalt road below, ripping the leg of my jeans and turning my knee into raw hamburger. GAH!

But...I heal quickly and I was back this evening with a trowel, at a much lower altitude!
