I'm not usually up at this hour of the morning, but when real estate comes calling and there's a job to do, I can make exceptions. While I was out showing properties yesterday, I almost caused an accident when I braked suddenly to pull over and take a picture. I knew if I came home with all talk and no pictures, I'd be banished to the non-margarita room. What caused the excitement was the biggest bougainvillea I've ever seen: At one of our houses many years ago we had eight bougainvilleas that we shaped into trees but they were only about eight or nine feet high. That one must have been about 25 or 30 feet high and, as you can see, covered with flowers. Although they are beautiful and bloom year round, you have to be careful around them because rose and cactus thorns have nothing on bougainvillea thorns. Now I'm off to bed. See everyone around 2 or 3, or later. ♫♪♫♫♪♫ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email. Jim Frimmer, Realtor

Good Morning Jim,
Thanks for the post and photo of beautiful tree. Have a great day.
That's the biggest one I've ever seen too.................I'm sure you didn't get banished to the non-margarita room after showing that BIG ONE...........that's all I'm saying!
How beautiful! We dont' have them in my area but I loved them when I lived in Southern California!!!
That is one gorgeous tree Jim! So glad you stopped and snapped it and weren't banished from the margarita room!! We are going to have to check this bougainvillea tree out to see if it will like Canadian winters, its just stunning!
Hi Jim! Now that's a giant gorgeous tree! Love the color and imagine having that blooming year-round in your yard--I wouldn't care about the thorns either!
Have a great Sunday...
That is truly a gorgeous plant-tree...very beautiful. I have never seen one so large.
Jim, that is huge, my hay fever started bugging me just by me looking at it!
Hi, Jim. WOW!!! When I visited my father in Naples Florida once, I bought a little bougainvillea for about $2.49 and caried it home to Maine on the plane, as a souvenir. It grew and grew but only the side directly under a fluorescent light bulb flowered. I was SO disappointed when we moved to the Florida panhandle and I discovered that I was too far north to have bougainvillea outside.
My parents used to cut their bouganvilleas down to the ground every winter, and they would always come back to six feet or higher the following summer. That 'tree' is amazing!
Wow! Those bougainvilleas are huge, and quite the colorful display! I wonder if their yard gets covered with thorns?
We have a lot of bougainvillea here - but I have never seen a "tree" of that size! I love the vibrant color. Wow...
Hey, everyone!

I've been very busy, but today I'm trying to follow up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.
I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!
Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!
If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.
Hope all is well with everyone.
