Activity increased in Anthem for the month of August. However, the average sale price fell for the first time in three months. This may just be attributable to more lower priced homes selling, thereby bringing down the average. We'll watch in coming months to see if it is a trend or an aberration. Overall for the entire 2011 year, the average sale price is only down 3.1% from a a year ago. The number of homes on market is inched up again to 171, and the number of homes currently under contract edged down. Year over year sales have fallen by 59%. I would still say it looks like the Anthem real estate market is steadily becoming a seller's market. Here are the numbers for August 2011:
