Squirrels Playing with Limes in my Backyard

I bet the squirrels in your area like the almonds. I am still trying to figure out where they found the limes as most of this area is still dirt so it must have been at the models.

Absolutely, squirrels belong outside and could be very destructive inside. Will enjoy them visiting but they need to go home at the end of the day.

The home I own right now has plums and apricots and I picked up the fruit immediately when it falls to the ground. My dogs love to eat the fruit and it is so healthy for them. I keep the fruit picked up to keep rats from visiting. We have squirrels in the orange groves a couple of blocks up, but never get squirrels in our yard. I think they are so cute and the way they interact with each other is fun to watch.

I guess there is not a lot of nuts or acorns so they get hungry and eat those limes. At first i thought they were just playing with the limes but later they started eating them. We opened the door and the limes rolled down the hill. We left so they could retrieve their 2 limes and finish their lunch. Makes my mouth pucker thinking about eating a raw lime.

I am sorry but your comments made me laugh. But it is really not as when you are on a mission to garden and then the seeds disappear, it stops the whole task at hand. Seeds are not cheap either as I just bought some sunflower seeds and pricey for 8 seeds in the packet.

They were playing like they had made themselves a margaritas. They run and hid so fast but are so cute to watch and just cannot stay away so in a couple of minutes, they are back!
