Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 17 from 8:30 am to Noon is hosted by the Alameda Recreation and Park Department. Bring a bucket, wear work gloves and sturdy shoes. Adults and children 6 years and older are welcome. an adult accompanying kids under 16 years. Pre-registration required at 1-800-327-2757 or www.EBParks.org.
The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 20 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers. The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open rain or shine.
Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, September 17, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco.
Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour features “Insect Investigation.” Learn about the insect world and then find out what’s new at the cove on Saturday, September 17, at 2:00 pm. Crab Cove is located at 1252 McKay Avenue. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.
Brews Blues and BBQ Festival on Webster Street Sunday, September 18 at Noon to 5:30 pm. Live music, BBQ and brews. The event is free to the public.
It times for the annual Live @ the Library 2016 Concert Series.
The first concert of the season features Geoffrey Keezer on Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 pm. Geoffrey Keezer says he will “play jazz standards, original music and contemporary pop numbers.” Tickets can be purchased for the entire series for $90.00 or for individual concerts for $35.00.
