First impressions count, this is true especially when marketing your Tredyffrin Easttown home for sale. But more than this is also the need for exposure not just in numbers but in reaching the right audience. Today, many of the buyers are looking for video, not slide shows of homes.
When I first began to venture into using video and being bold enough to step out from behind the camera to in front I was very critical. Critical of myself, my ums and errs, stumbles etc. Much of what I read online encouraged you to press on, to not wait to be perfect, just do it!
So I persevered, I made lots of mistakes, and probably still do. But, I have had clients comment on my videos, I have had one client use me because of my videos that I can point to directly. Overall I know I am probably one of the only agents in our area who uses video for branding and marketing at all. Some may use video as virtual tours linked to their listings or websites for a home. But they are not branding themselves as I do.
Here is an old video, which I need to re-do as where I am standing in the video is now a new development of town homes. But other than that much of the information is still valid. This video took several attempts to film and Trudy was not happy with it and me releasing it.
Below is a more recent video, of our local village, this too needs to be re-filmed, but it got me a client and I think I am a little more relaxed. You will notice I changed up the beginning of the video.
But I am not finished, I recently changed up that beginning again because I found it too old fashioned. All the time I am looking for ways to improve, to change to get more views to syndicate better. I have since gone back and made some changes to the intro not seen here on this video.
I am currently working on a couple of video projects, that are taking me longer than I expected, but think will be of interest.
So, don't wait for perfection, as a word I discovered here in the states iterate continually and adjust, but don't wait, push it out and keep making changes as you go along.
We work the same way with clients, we often have to adjust as we search for properties, listening to a client helps us to understand how their taste and what they are looking for changes as they search and see homes.
