Hollywood Hills East aka the 90068 zip code Market Trends Report...

Most people connect the Hollywood Sign with the 90068 zip code. Everyone feels obligated to check out the Hollywood Sign if you are visiting Los Angeles. Depending who your tour guide is how close they bring you for the mandatory photo opportunity:). Now with that said let's see how the Real Estate Market is doing in the 90068 zip code.

Inventory remains tight and of course if you are talking to local agents, they are all grousing that there are no listings. Interestingly we just feel bad because we were spoiled last year, when it looked like inventory was increasing, hence we were expecting the same trend to continue. Well as you can see from the above statistics that is not the case.

Most successful Realtors in my market place are like well let me use the analogy of a Race Horse, we are so ready to sprint out of the chute. We have been spoiled by the past five years, everything sells instantly. Hence when it takes a bit longer to sell we are all in panic mode: Is the Market Changing?? The list goes on and on.... CLearly if a home sells under two months time I consider that as a fast market, but what do I know?:) I am just a seasoned Beverly Hills Realtor.

Same response when the prices are not increasing at astronomical rates we start getting nervous. Now let's be real when the Real Estate Market was at the bottom we were all predicting single digit increases for the next few years. Well it turned out when the Market Activity Returned prices were increasing in double digit ways.... so here we are we are about 40% higher price points than the last time the market was at the top. So with that said no need to panic with 2.7% price increase as being  catastrophic...it is still very good.
