Do you love where you live? Indeed, I love where I live. For me, that is and has been the Greater Los Angeles area. I visualized that it will be my dream life. Diane and I relocated from Boston, MA came here to create our future.
“There is nothing like a dream to create the future.”

A long time ago I have recognized and accepted the fact, that ‘change’ is the only constant in life. I learned this early in life, as I was moving from country to country and State to State.
Hence, I can safely say, Los Angeles has been the longest I stayed in any place. Twenty-three years later I am still here. This post was inspired by my friend Jeff Dowler, CRS a fellow East Coaster who now considers himself a Southern California Dude.
Why do I love living in Los Angeles? Having lived in Austria, Germany, Hungry, New York, Connecticut, Michigan and Boston, MA. I had enough of the harsh “Four Seasons” and I do not mean the wonderful Hotel Chain.
Hence for me the answer is very easy: The Climate of Course. Los Angeles can and does boast of the best temperate climate hands down anywhere I have been. We have four seasons, but they are temperate. We complain when the temperature at night goes to the low to mid 50’s. Clearly, we are spoiled.
For the past five years I have called Westchester, CA 90045 my home. It is conveniently located next to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Less than six miles and you can be on the beaches of Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica, if you are a beach lover, they are both wonderful beach communities. I know , since I have lived in Marina Del Rey for about ten years.
Westchester, CA is equally conveniently located, if you want to go to Century City, Beverly Hills or Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). No other Los Angeles community is as centrally located as Westchester, CA.
Very few communities are so conveniently located in Los Angeles. Just to give you an idea Manhattan Beach is equidistant as Marina Del Rey from Westchester; CA. Redondo Beach is about the same distance as Santa Monica.
The home prices are equally reasonable compared to other locations. Hence if you are looking for a home that is not out of reach for the average two income household i.e.: it is affordable compared to other part of Los Angeles then Westchester, CA will be your next home.
There are many other benefits as well. In our case we have citrus trees in the back yard. Clearly having a home with Lemon, Orange and Tangerine trees in the back yard makes life even more enjoyable.
All year around I have the pleasure of picking fresh citrus for our daily juice and cooking consumption and still plenty to share with our friends and neighbors. So why would I not love living here? With that said I am very grateful to call Los Angeles, CA my home.
