Now I know starting out saying I'm grateful for 2020 sounds kind of weird. And in a way I agree. The way I see it is we were all pretty much forced into handling/doing things much differently than ever before. And with that we could either decide to make the best of things or not. Always a choice!
Things have changed in small and big way in many ways and for that I'm very grateful. One of the biggest things I'm grateful for his my husband Gary. He decided to retire in April after saying he was going to for at least a few years. He finally did it! And he's so enjoying his time now. He's still helping on the real estate side as well as golfing and doing his workshop projects. He's so happy and his sense of humor make me laugh every day. He's really been fun to be 'locked down' with!! We're having more fun than ever which is saying a lot because we always have gotten along really well. Imagine that....happier than ever! Grateful!
I am so grateful that we are so blessed with our beautiful home and neighborhood. We've lived here over 20 years and it's been a great place to be spending a lot of time at home and not feeling 'stuck'. We both have our own office and there is plenty of space to enjoy time together and alone too. Plus we love hanging out in the pool or spa and relaxing on the patio or taking walks or hiking. And we've had a LOT of differnt birds this summer plus a tiny little runt bunny called our back yard home this summer. He grew bigger and now lives in our front yard....maybe we other bunnies!! Just don't want them all coming in the back. LOL.
I am very grateful for our close friends. We've had the opportunity to gather in a small group and spend quality time together. And we've all done things for each other to cheer them up of just bring a smile to their face. Our world is much smaller in a sense but yet so sweet at the same time. For years we had big groups of people at our home for network events etc. But for now, it has been so nice to just keep it for our small close knit group of friends. that's been very different......and who knows it may just stay that way in the future. But just between you and me - I highly doubt it!
I am so grateful for my AR circle of friends! It's been such a gift to be able to spend time online as well as texting, talking and emailing. It's made my world seem so much more normal having all of you to go back and forth talking about who knows what - business, personal, cooking or whatever! Thanks to all of you for your friendship and encouragement in 2020!
I am very grateful that myself and Gary have been able to assist a dear friend of ours that is going through cancer treatments. She's been on our minds for a year now and it's touch and go as to how it will turn out. She and her husband stayed with us on and off as it was easier for her than being hours away from her doctors. They finally moved back to PHX just this week and are getting settled into their own place now. We are hoping and praying she takes a turn for the better, once she gets settled and can relax. I am very, very grateful for their friendship and all the laughs we've had together over the years.
And of course I want to share how grateful I am to have our 'funny' little 'Barney' to keep us smiling and laughing in 2020. He sure knows how to get his way because he's done a good job of training his parents! He loves having us around all the time. In fact trying to 'sneak' out isn't so easy as he's on to us. Sometimes we feel 'guilty' for leaving him at home (he loves to go out) so we change our plans so he can come with, even if that means one of us stays in the car with the AC on for him! Fur babies are a gift!
So much more to be grateful for in 2020.......thanks for being part of my life!
