rage: The rage that burnt within me…

In the past, my demeanor may have been described as “passionate.” I always had strong feelings about the world and the life experience. Over the last few years, however, the roaring blaze has burned down to a few glowing embers. Now older, and hopefully wiser, I accept the realization that I am but a single worker ant in the colony and that life “is what it is!” There was a time when I thought that I could change the world. Nobody can deny that there is much turmoil in the world today. The economic climate festered by political debauchery has created an omnipresent aura of suspicion and apprehension. But the sleepless nights and the tightness in the chest will do nothing to abate the apparent impending meltdown of global society. True contentment can only occur when rage is conquered! We must accept the fact that we cannot control the actions of others and instead focus our energy inward. Our state of mind can be governed by calmness and tranquility DESPITE all of the external influences that constantly assault us with (16 comments)
