Merry Christmas to Morgan P. of Texas! Localism Posts are so Amazing!
This is a must read post for every Active Rainer. It's a Christmas Gift to all of you Rainers that understand the importance of Localism posts and how far reaching they really can be. This one is particularly sweet!
You're going to love this story - trust me! It's darling!
A couple of months ago I wrote a post about Lauren Froderman, a local Phoenix, Arizona gal that won theTV Realty Show, "So you think you can dance". Lots of local folks were talking about this for weeks!
Sometime in November I received a letter (handwritten) from an 11 year old girl named Morgan. I was wondering at first why she sent it to me - and then I remembered the post I had written about Lauren Froderman.I had meant to share this with everyone on Active Rain but I got very busy and the letter went to the bottom of the stack of to-do's.
While cleaning out my drawer today I was once again 'heart touched' by seeing the letter. Here's Morgan's sweet letter with a few things left out to protect her identity.
Dear Lauren Froderman,
Hello my name is Morgan P.. I live in Texas and I go to Middle School. I'm 11 years old. I'm a dancer like you! I love to dance, it's my favorite activity to do. I dance over 14 hours a week. My favorite style of dance is contemporary and hip-hop.
I admire you because when I was watching " So You Think You Can Dance" you were amazing. I kept on watching your audition over and over again, and I said to myself, she is definitely going to win! I was wondering how many hours did you have to practice for the dances? Also what you learned, and what was it like meeting the choreographers.
I was wondering if you can respond back to me. May I please get an autographed picture, so I can shoe it to my dance friends!
Sincerely,
Morgan
What a perfect time of year to share this young girls enthusiasm for dancing and to show the gift of Localism posts! Calling all Rainers - do what you can to spread the joy of this young girl!
Merry Christmas to Morgan! And my next stop is finding Lauren Froderman.....
