Someone mentioned today that Sunday is August 1st. Are you kidding me? I had to look at the calendar to get a handle on just how the summer is flowing by fast - so fast! It's been a very busy (and good year) and I'm so ready to take a break for awhile. Thus - I hope to be back in the swing of blogging, at least until we head out of town. I've done my best to keep up with at least reading and leaving comments on blogs and in Q & A, most days. And I miss you guys! !!

Next blog up - I've got a great and EASY recipe for delicious coleslaw that you will want to keep on hand for those quick and easy side dishes we all need in a hearts moments at times. My dear friend Connie made it for us last Saturday and we loved it. You are going to love it too!

What a gorgeous picture, Anna. Trust you'll enjoy your break... I'd love one, myself, but just not in the cards for a while. I'll need to be making time for a break to have hip replacement surgery... but that's not a fun break.

Hey Endre Barath, Jr. well I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself falling! It's just been so darn busy, plus other things happening that need attention I had to make a choice. You know how it goes at times. I haven't had a chance to make the slaw but you're going to love it - I hope! Goes great with smoked ribs and wine!

Oh my goodness, sometimes everything on our plates is a little overwhelming and something has to be put on hold, Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, CRB, Phoenix Broker.

About that coleslaw - that'll be my next post to read. Funny but, we did a Mexican meal for our clients who spent 'A Day at the Lake' with us last weekend. I needed something besides black beans and one of my girlfriends suggested Drunken Beans because it calls for cilantro & a bottle of Mexican beer! Well, they were a big hit whether they fit the Mexican theme or not! LOL Of course, the recipe called for pinto beans and I made it with 4 or 5 different beans - kidney, lima, black...I always have to change up recipes somehow.
