There is no place like Alaska ...
My first visit Alaska was in 2001 followed by 2015, 2016, 2017 and now 2018. After my first visit in 2001 I talked about my experience for months, I was taken away by it's beauty.
When I was given another chance to visit in 2015 I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
I try to visit Alaska around 3 time per year because I own property up there and I just can't get enough of Alaska. As a photographer of 40 years Alaska is a photographers dream. As my wife and I drove by Coopers Landing by the … (14 comments)

Several days ago after spending several hours in the lodge at Morgan Hill California working the Internet, I was surprised by such beauty.
As I walked out my head slowly turned to the right and "WOW" ... this bright red and blue colored sunset sky was just staring me in the face.
I quickly grabbed my iPhone and snapped this beautiful photo, and within 10 seconds the bright colors started to fade.

The beautiful young lady in the photo above that was taken at Lucile Lake in Wasilla Alaska is by far the number one reason Alaska Bob aka Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is going to Alaska ;o)
Robert Swetz will be fishing for halibut in Homer Alaska the second week of July 2015 with his lovely wife Lin.
November 2014 was the last time Vegas Bob was in Alaska, and in May of 2015 Lin stopped into San Jose for a visit.
The second reason Alaska Bob will visiting the Last Frontier in Alaska would be it's beauty.

Mammoth Lakes located in central California is one of Vegas Bob's favorite hang outs during the summer months. When the temps in Las Vegas are reaching 110 plus VB likes to jump in the car with the family and take a 6 hour drive north west to Mammoth Lakes.
The elevation is around 7000 feet which helps create much cooler temps along with breath taking views. Take a look at this beautiful photo that took on one of my visits to Mammoth Lakes. " One of the most beautiful coastlines in the world " California, (BIG SUR). California to me has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth, next to Alaska and Oregon.
I have traveled to California ever since 1974. I moved to Portland Oregon when I was 16 years old with one of my best friends. I worked 6 months out of the year and traveled 6 months out of the year. And where do you think I traveled to? (California) of course!

Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz has been traveling through the state of California since the mid 70s, and still continues to travel to Cali as much as possible.
When Robert was a teenager living in Portland Oregon he use to hitchhike up and down the Pacific Coast of Oregon and California all the way from Portland to San Diego and back at least twice a year.

Beautiful Flowers are in bloom all around "Eagle Lake" in Northern California so VB decided to snap several photographs and have a little picnic by the lake.
There is a reason VB spends so much time in California, and the northern area is one of my favorites. It seems like every where I go all I see is "Beauty" ...
