That's right Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has a 4 day weekend and he will be enjoying it with his wife around the Monterey Peninsula.
Vegas Bob will be picking up his wife at the San Jose airport early Friday morning and then we are headed to the beaches of California.
Early Saturday afternoon we will be eating at Phil's fish Market and I will be eating fresh Halibut from Alaska. Then it's off to La Selva Beach, Capitola, Rio del Mar and other beaches in the area.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is in California sucking up the Sunshine and it's wonderful.
I walked 10 miles along La Selva Beach yesterday and got really sunburn on my neck, I quess you could call VB a Redneck now ;o)
There is so much work in California that I am really think twice about working at the Apple project. I have been hearing horror stories about terrible parking, loading up buses full of workers going to and from the project like cattle, walking almost one mile after being dropped off, super crazy inspections, extreme safety precautions and 'Back Stabbing' all over the project … (12 comments)

Just another day in Paradise
After making some calls today I was informed that the new Apple Campus 2 project in Cupertino California located in the Bay Area is looking for some more glaziers for the project.
A very close friend of mine was just awarded a foreman position and asked if I wanted to fly down from Alaska and work on the project. I told him I would think about it for about a week and then decide, and there is a great chance that I will take the job at Apple.

California is one of my favorite states in the country when it comes to beauty.
I fell in love with California back in the late 70s when I was traveling through it. Even when I lived in the Midwest and Oregon for so many years, I would always find a way to visit California.
And now living in Las Vega for 20 years, I always go out of my way to visit and travel in California.

For over the last 20 years of Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz's life there have been many choices, changes, etc, that have taken place.
Vegas Bob believes that most of these choices, changes, etc, happened for a reason and have created his fate.
Vegas Bob discovered 20 years ago not to push but allow choices and change to take place naturally, let them fall into place.
During Vegas Bob's younger years, he use to push and try to hurry choices and change, only to find out that many of them were not meant to be.

la selva beach: Dead Baby Gray Whale washed on the shore of La Selva Beach California

As I was strolling down La Selva Beach last Sunday as I often do, I saw something that looked like a huge rock washed ashore.
As I came closer to what looked like a rock, I saw many seagulls flying around and picking at the object.
And as I got very close I saw what looked like some type of flesh with a very strange odor.
There were two ladies taking photographs and so I asked them what it was.
One of the ladies said that it was a dead baby gray whale that had been washed ashore.

La Selva Beach is by far one of Robert Vegas Bob Swetz's favorite beaches in Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz, Capitola and Rio del Mar are very nice beaches, but La Selva is much more laid back with very few people ;o)
Here are three very colorful photos that I took with my iPhone 6+ today.

Ever since I was very young, I have always been a very creative person, as a child, teenager and far into my adult years.
As a young child I was painting and drawing quite often. As a teenager I continued to paint water color and oil paintings, and my parents purchased a Polaroid Camera in the late 70's when I was a teenager.
To this day I continue to take photographs, videos, paint and write books.
One of the problems is all the people around me lately don't take photographs, videos, paint, etc.

Today is the first time that I have had Internet in 6 long days. I have been posting blogs to ActiveRain from my cell phone and this was really getting old.
For the next 12 hours I will have Internet and then Tuesday after work I will be stopping at a library in Morgan Hill to find out if I can use Internet there.
