I am sure just about everyone of us that has been around for the last 50 years has heard this song. Now having heard this song, have you ever been to San Jose? Do you even know where San Jose is?

That's right Vegas Bob will be moving into his new place in San Jose June 1st and he is very excited.
In 2015 when VB worked in downtown San Jose on a construction project for 11 months he was staying with some friends in their trailer in a RV park in Morgan Hill. VB had terrible Internet connections, dirty toilets & showers and slept on a hard broken couch the folded out ;o(

I worked on a commercial building project in downtown San Jose California for 11 months in 2015 for a company named Center Glass.
When I was working for Center Glass the foreman mentioned a 27 story commercial building they may be working on in Hawaii.
When I heard this I mentioned several times to the foreman that if Center Glass landed the project that I would want to work on it.

How many people have been driving along a road and come across the nasty odor of Skunk?
Or hit a Skunk with your car or even worse been sprayed by a Skunk?
Well, all I can say is it's a nasty smell and odor that many people dislike, including me!
Well lately I came across that odor while working a construction job in San Jose California, walking along the beaches, shopping in stores, taking walks in the park, etc.

The share of Las Vegas homeowners who are underwater continues to slide, but it remains highest among large U.S. cities, a new report shows.
Some 22.1 percent of Southern Nevada homeowners with mortgages were underwater — meaning their debt outweighs their home’s value — in the third quarter. That’s down from 27.8 percent a year earlier and far below its peak of 71 percent in early 2012, according to Seattle-based Zillow.
Despite the improvement, Las Vegas’ current share of upside-down borrowers was highest among the 35 metro areas listed in the report.

Vegas Bob started working on the (New) Santa Clara Family Center in downtown San Jose in February 2015.
It has been a great project to work on, beautiful building and VB's last day working there will be November 25 2015.
Vegas Bob will post photographs after the project in complete and opens in spring of 2016.

California is one of my favorite states in the country when it comes to beauty.
I fell in love with California back in the late 70s when I was traveling through it. Even when I lived in the Midwest and Oregon for so many years, I would always find a way to visit California.
And now living in Las Vega for 20 years, I always go out of my way to visit and travel in California.

Alaska Bob aka Vegas Bob is always searching for Magical quiet place where he can be alone, free his mind of all the mumble jumble of city life, certain people, etc.
AB/VB feels he shouldn't have to drive or travel 100's of 1000's of miles to get away from Control Freaks.

Alaska Bob is very happy to say that his last day working construction in San Jose California will be November 25th ...
AB/VB had set a previous date in December, but has recently changed it!
Vegas Bob is looking forward to getting back to Las Vegas, sleep in his own bed after staying in Morgan Hill NorCal since January 2015.
Vegas Bob is going to hook up with his brother and family, take some CE classes for RE, study for his Alaska state test for RE, update his passport and take care of some business transactions.

With approx. 50% of the state of Californians using Marijuna as recreation and or health benefits, Vegas Bob is unsure about his view points on Marijuana.
When I grew up in the late 70's Marijuana, weed, refer, pot, hemp, etc. was everywhere. But back then when people smoked weed, it was done in hidden areas and had a different odor to it.
With more than half of the workers I work with on a construction project in San Jose using weed, VB has mixed feelings on Marijuana being used throughtout the state.

Working on a construction project in San Jose California since February of this year has only allowed Alaska Bob aka Vegas Bob a 10 day visit all year in July.
So I am very excited about getting out of California, and chilling in Anchorage Alaska ...
Sure it gets cold, sure it snows, sure the days have very little sunlight ...
But I will not be working and spending quality time with my wife and 2 boys.

Vegas Bob continues to work on a huge construction project in San Jose California, and this project will last till Nov-Dec of 2015.

Robert's father was a glazier (glass installer) all his life and Vegas Bob remembers sweeping floors when he was 11 years old, at that time VB's father was a foreman for "Brin Northwestern Glass"

Life in the Fast Lane
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been working and driving in the Fast Lane in the Bay Area in Northern California for the last couple months.
Working long hours is taking a toll on Vegas Bob and he is looking forward to taking some time off when this project is complete in San Jose.
The project should finish up around November/December of 2015.
Vegas Bob is seriously thinking about taking one year off from construction and living with his wife in Alaska.

Change continues to run through my mind whenever Vegas Bob is away from home.
Even though time seems to be flying by, I wish the weeks and months would go by faster.
Faster so the job I am on in San Jose would be complete.
The Job in San Jose is suppose to finish in November/December of 2015.
There are many changes that need to take place between now and the end of 2015, so many thoughts continue to run through Vegas Bob's brain.
VB is trying to take it "One Day at a Time" and just let time take its toll.
Any suggestions?

That's right ... I am a "Wanted Man" in Alaska.
After spending 5 days with my better half from Alaska, we both agreed that after I complete my construction job in San Jose that I will be moving up to Alaska.
She has been begging for me to live with her for over 6 months now and I have agreed with her that we can live a better life together then apart.
My construction job should be finished around November/December of 2015.
