real estate marketing: How does one get here from there? - 06/24/16 08:18 AM
It comes up on occasion and kinda smacked me this past week. ;O) I’ve been all over the Puget Sound area all week from Seattle to Bellingham and busy enough that every time I took a minute to think about my next blog post, my brain was a total blank.
Well duh... Like I haven’t heard it before... “Life’s talking at you every waking minute of every day. Why not post what people actually ask you about.” I know, I know, obvious right? It’s too obvious someday’s yet still I blow right by those emerging thoughts. I’m obsessed it has to be … (25 comments)

real estate marketing: Social Media is best served with doodles and coffee. - 06/08/15 04:02 AM
One of the things I really enjoy about my work is the people! And I love the fact I’m out and about and we’re always up to something creative and interesting. I love brainstorming about marketing in the here and now with my coworkers and clients.
Some of the best times ever have been meetings at coffee shops and cafes. A morning get together over a good cup of Joe is one of my favorites. I like the social setting. For me it’s the perfect place to talk about online marketing concepts and social media strategies.

real estate marketing: Once upon a time there was this smiling goat... - 04/15/15 10:24 AM
Friday's Fotos: Once upon a time there was this smiling goat...
So we're at the University Village in Seattle for #mobilecomcamp when I see these guys outside the Fireworks Store. I'm well caffinated and in a playful mood and the first thing that pops into my head (being the blogger I am and alway's on the lookout for material) is...
Once upon a time there was this smiling goat, a huge colorful rooster, and a cute little bulldog all gathered together on the village plaza... "I just know there's a story here!" :O) But I better put my focus back on the … (29 comments)

real estate marketing: Some days your house burns up... other days it burns down... - 06/12/09 02:50 PM
I heard once... "Well you know, somedays your house burns up, and other days it burns down." I was playing clubs back then and this guy was sitting at the bar talking to the bartender. Funny how it stuck with me and became my iconic snap your finger wake up now device to get me out of less than stellar moods. I don't take myself to seriously (yet I will confess at times) I catch me on occassion way too serious about things that don't merit the investment I have in my fowl mood knowing I don't have any control over events anyhow. … (11 comments)

real estate marketing: The Rake's Progress... - 05/30/09 07:01 AM
Igor Stravinsky, one of my all time favorite composers, kind a sort of said once… (and I very loosely paraphrase and expound upon)…
As an artist, we give birth to an idea. We may agonize over it or it may be effortless and spontaneous. Regardless the idea is not the composition, our symphony, our ballet; it’s just the kernel, the spark that sets things in motion. The idea may be a great one or sometimes just so so, but that makes no difference.
The idea is meaningless unless it is framed within a context. The real work begins after the great … (7 comments)

real estate marketing: The results are in: 52% of your lastest business was generated via the internet. - 04/12/09 09:57 AM
Where did your last client come from?

The Results...
Thanks to everyone who chimed in with your ‘where did my last client come from’ statistics. Although this is certainly not the most scientific analysis, I thought this sampling from those of you in the Rain, and from all over the country, was very interesting.
Roughly 140 of you gave me input based on my question to you from my blog post of 3/19/2009. Some of you gave me more than the last client, and some of you have had leads but no deals yet from the internet.

It was … (7 comments)
