I recently received a call from a client, and in the conversation they told me about a friend who was in an adjustable rate loan and trying to figure out the best way to plan her finances going forward. He got me in touch with the potential borrower, and based on their immediate, short term, and long term plans, it made a lot of sense to get out of the adjustable rate loan, and into a low fixed rate loan.

Recently a friend reached out with a casual "hey, a coworker of mine is having trouble refinancing so I told him to give you a call". Shortly thereafter, I heard from his coworker, who was looking to refinance to a lower rate, and was also considering a 20 year term so as not to add years back onto his mortgage.

It's clear that they are super important, and as the internet becomes the go-to resource for consumers shopping for real estate and lending services, testimonials will become even more important. If you're NOT getting testimonials published in a place consumers are actively using, you need to get started.

Thank yous are a good thing. I'm a huge fan of personal, hand written thank you cards, and saying thank you at every opportunity (and meaning it). Throughout the course of a day, we do a lot of work for others - whether it's researching something, getting a loan funded, solving a problem, or following up with a 3rd party. Many clients offer a "thanks" every time we talk to them, and that's always nice. But when someone sends the following kind of 'thank you', it's special.
