La Selva Beach is by far one of Robert Vegas Bob Swetz's favorite beaches in Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz, Capitola and Rio del Mar are very nice beaches, but La Selva is much more laid back with very few people ;o)
Here are three very colorful photos that I took with my iPhone 6+ today.
And for anyone that has never been to La Selva Beach that is spending time around the Santa Cruz area, check out one of my favorite beaches in NorCal.

Today I am one "Happy Camper" and here's why ;o)
Today is the first time that I have had Internet in 6 long days. I have been posting blogs to ActiveRain from my cell phone and this was really getting old.
For the next 12 hours I will have Internet and then Tuesday after work I will be stopping at a library in Morgan Hill to find out if I can use Internet there.

Of most of the beaches around Santa Cruz, like Rio del Mar, Capitola & La Selva Beach, La Selva Beach is Vegas Bob's favorite. When Vegas Bob was a teenager and lived in Portland Oregon many moons ago, he use to travel up and down the Oregon & California Coastline. Ever year VB would spend about one month hiking in the Redwoods, playing alone the beaches, etc. Most of VB's travels were done by himself because his family lived back in Minnesota around 2000 miles away.
One of VB's favorite towns was Orick California, right in the middle of one of the HUGEST Redwood National Parks in the World. Back when VB traveled through Orick, there was no Redwood National Park and workers … (10 comments)

Vegas Bob spent several hours on the Pacific Coast around Ferndale California just south of Eureka in Northern California.
Most of the beach was flat with no structure so VB was becoming bored because photography of beaches with no structure is boring. So VB saw a huge cliff with a White Cross at the top of it, well VB went out of his way to climb the top. Once VB got to the top he noticed that the White Cross which stood about 15 feet tall had been dedicated to some Pioneers that Lost their Lives at Sea … (8 comments)

I captured the sun going down in Calsbad California north of San Diego and these poor birds didn't know which direction to go, one was headed south and the other one north. Then they would turn around and head the other direction.
Which ever way they were going I was able to capture the pinks and blues from the sun going down, and the birds and their shadows, quite a few lens prisms going on also.

I have traveling the State of California for over 35 years now and there are certain areas that are my favorite. I have always loved Laguna Beach and my daughter and I had the privilege of walking along Laguna Beach, as we walked down some stairs to the beach we saw this wonderful display of flowers that have been growing along some cliffs beneath the homes.

The Love of my life came to me back in the mid 1970s when I was traveling as a teenager on the West Coast.
Back in around 1974 this lady appeared to me like I have never seen before, almost like a dream. I wondered to myself how could anything be so beautiful as I rubbed my eyes with disbelief.
The Sun was very warm when I first met her and I could feel the Summer breeze mixed with the smell of salt air under my nose.
