Robert Vegas Bob Swetz finds hundreds of "Sand Dollars" at La Selva Beach California After around 2 months of beach combing around Santa Cruz County, Vegas Bob hit the mother load of Sand Dollars. Of most of the beaches around Santa Cruz, like Rio del Mar, Capitola & La Selva Beach, La Selva Beach is Vegas Bob's favorite. Las Vegas Nevada continues to be dead in the water within the construction industry. When driving around the Las Vegas "Strip", Downtown and parts of Henderson everything looks busy. But for the most part, almost all of this construction going on around Las Vegas is being done by non-union companies. The Mission Ranch consists of many different homes and buildings, from a Hotel Bread & Breakfast, to a restaurant and other buildings open to the public. When Vegas Bob was a teenager and lived in Portland Oregon many moons ago, he use to travel up and down the Oregon & California Coastline. Ever year VB would spend about one month hiking in the Redwoods, playing alone the beaches, etc. Most of VB's travels were done by himself because his family lived back in Minnesota around 2000 miles away.
One of VB's favorite towns was Orick California, right in the middle of one of the HUGEST Redwood National Parks in the World. Back when VB traveled through Orick, there was no Redwood National Park and workers … (10 comments)

I had the chance to visit Eagle Lake in Northern California for the first time on my way to the Redwoods.
Eagle Lake is located about 17 miles north of the very quaint town of Susanville, and Susanville is around 150 miles north of Reno Nevada.
Believe it or not ... Eagle Lake is the second LARGEST Freshwater lake in the State of California, and why do they call it a freshwater lake? Because there are quite a few lakes in California that are (Saltwater).

Some of you may know and some of you may not, that Vegas Bob have been in the Glass Industry for over 30 years and has his Journeyman Glazing Card in Local 2001 in Las Vegas Nevada.
Well there are some HUGE projects coming up soon in the future in Los Angeles California and Las Vegas is very slow and has been compared to LA.
I have been thinking very strongly about transferring my Card to Local 636 in Los Angeles until a big project opens in Vegas which may be quite a long time.

Vegas Bob spent several hours on the Pacific Coast around Ferndale California just south of Eureka in Northern California.
Most of the beach was flat with no structure so VB was becoming bored because photography of beaches with no structure is boring. So VB saw a huge cliff with a White Cross at the top of it, well VB went out of his way to climb the top. Once VB got to the top he noticed that the White Cross which stood about 15 feet tall had been dedicated to some Pioneers that Lost their Lives at Sea … (8 comments)

While I was visiting Eagle Lake approx 16 miles north of Susanville I couldn't help bu notice that there were hardly any people there.
Susanville California is around 170 miles north of Reno, Sparks & Carson City Nevada.
Eagle Lake is the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the State of California, and attract hundreds of thousands of Campers, Fisher Persons and people wanting to enjoy the lake activities.
This portion on Eagle Lake in the photograph (above) is a very small portion, this lake is huge. And you can see that the person caught fishing above was in the right … (17 comments)

I was hiking around Eagle Lake in Northern California this afternoon and came across this very interesting point ... "Bob's Point"
It is a very beautiful area and so I snapped a photo of the Point and the sign dedicated to Robert Wascher. I am not really sure who Robert Wascher is ... I googled his name and came up with a War Hero and Physician?
Who ever this man is he must have really liked "Eagle Lake" ... the second LARGEST freshwater lake in the State of California.

Vegas Bob will be flying high at "Lake Tahoe" September 2nd in the next few days! And then Vegas Bob will be driving along hwy 299 between Redding and Eureka California searching for "Bigfoot." Let's just hope if I run into one of these BIG Creatures their nice because I will be with Nu Nu & Sherry.

That's right ... Vegas Bob has decided to get licensed in California and sell Residential Properties in SoCal, and there is a great possibility that he might hang his license with several AR members from the Laguna Beach area.
VB will continue to be licensed in Nevada but will live in both Las Vegas and possibly the Laguna area, depending on the different seasons of the year. VB first became interested in selling RE in California around 4 years ago but never proceeded with his vision.
