People often do not speak up when a real estate agent speaks using acronyms or real estate slang; even if they do not understand the message the agent hoped to convey. Some just figure they should understand but they do not, which can make them feel inadequate. Like they're not let in on the secret. And the agent is the source of that aggravation.

Why don't people think about consequences in advance? Or recognize patterns that can happen after a situation is in play? I think it's because we're all wired differently. My husband would tell you it's because some of us like to argue, but see, I would disagree. Of course. I prefer to call it exploring a situation, not arguing.

I get it that most people don't know how short sales work. In fact, most people don't know how real estate works. This extends not only to the public but to real estate agents, too. But when you explain it and a person wants to disregard what you have told them, they are either incredibly stupid or they are . . . incredibly stupid.
But even stupid people close escrow.
