Sure, Imelda Marcos was a criminal who stole a lot of money, but she will always be remembered for her shoes. When she was forced to flee the Phillipines, it was reported she left behind more than 3,000 pairs of shoes. Some reports indicated 7,500 pairs of shoes, to which she famously clarified, "I have only 1,060 pair of shoes."
When you think about it, that's not even one pair a day for 3 years.
