OK....I'm there....FINALLY THE MONKEY IS OFF MY BACK. I'm real. I really am a part of Active Rain. I guess that I've always had my eyes set on the 300,000 point number ever since joining Active Rain two and 1/2 years ago. My story is simple. I'm a net neophyte who was dragged into Active Rain kicking and screaming. I was told that this was the wave of the future. I was told that it was a great way to get your name out on the net. Well, I finally hit it. I was going to make this a spectacular post and reminisce about how great it is to hit 100,000 points in just under 9 months. I love writing. I recieved a degree in English and Literature and Communications when I was in College. This translates to great things in AR as well. I get to serve my writing fetish by trying to post something of value. Whether it valuable to me or others is for the reader to decide. I think that it's only fitting that I write a nice long post about how I got here and what this all means to me. I'm not going to because of 2 reasons: 1) I'm on vacation....need I say anything more? 2) I'm only 1/2 of the way to 100,000 I've had a lot of fun, but today I'll take a rest......I've been going strong. Just last week I wrote 40,000 Points - - Where's my medal?. I was sooooooo pleased. Actually it's been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work, but there were and are a million benefits. Just tdoay when I was writing....I realized that this is my 100th post. Yeah....gross, where has the time gone? It's been a lot of fun, but a ton of hard work. Points, Points, Points.....When it comes to scoring of points I have a question....I had a banner day one day when I scored almost 2,000 points in one day. I know that we're all in blogging just for the graciousness of who we are...and to inform each other....and to dialogue....but I, yes me....have a little competitiveness in me that also says that I like to score....Unfortunately, I can't score like my boy MJ.....but.....
