I had a great meeting with my coach, Steve Scanlon, from Building Champions (As I've stated before, they are the preeminent hard core coaching company in North America) yeseterday. Needless to say I've spoken about my great successes as well as some failures that are really eating at me. While failure doesn't really bother me, these particular failures did because they were failures that were under my control. The Parade Starts in 1/2 hour. I'm excited to be here with my wife, and my 6 kids. We came up here to celebrate the start of summer, but it seems so fitting to be watching the Memorial Day Parade. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!!! Or are you? Growing up that's what kids said to each other. Got it??? You ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!! I have a different take on this phrase....how about you CRAVE WHAT YOU EAT!!! In the last two years, I've been told that I'm the most disciplined person that people know. I don't think so. I want to have a beer on a Friday night and I end up having three. I want to get up earlier than everyone else to do my quiet time, but I don't. Every year I put myself in a position to succeed in new resolutions. That comes after many years of failure. Instead of giving myself a million different resolutions I move to two or three that I can follow through with. I finally joined the weight loss portion of AR and decided that I'm going to lose 20+ pounds. Weight loss resolutions consensus. I'm going to close on a couple of large commercial deals to take the stress off of the need to close 20 deals a month as an originator. How are you all doing with your New Year's Resolutions? I have been so excited to attack this year more than this year. How are you doing. I've only set a few goals, trying to make this a realistic approach in order to assure a myriad of successes this year. I don't need a million goals, just a few achievable ones. Here's where I sit YTD. 1) Spiritual - I made a committment to reading the bible daily. I'm reading one chapter of proverbs and one chapter of the new testament each day.
