Over at Beaver Lake Park today, between the spring showers, and the sun playing hide-and-seek, 
there were rainbows above at once reflected in the lake.
 
If you were to  walk along any of the streets in this “walkable”Green  Asheville neighborhood,  you could meet people out enjoying  the company of their neighbors, chatting, stopping by to observe and comment on the voluminous  clouds or the work being done on a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow.
 
There is a feeling of belonging here- a sense of  place.

To the north of downtown,  North Asheville’s sustainable neighborhoods include: Albemarle Park, Beaverdam, Beaver Lake, Chestnut Hills, Grove Park, Kimberly, Montford, Norwood Park, and Reynolds Mountain. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places are the Montford Area Historic District, Chestnut Hill Historic District, and Grove Park Historic.
