incentives: WORKING BUT NOT FOR A LIVING - 03/08/18 07:33 AM
We all have a skills bank unique and different but similar in that those abilities can produce whatever is necessary not only for the user and possessor of the "bank" but for others as well. The common use is to lend someone or sell them your talents and gifts for a fee and we have employer/employee interactions plus services/products offerings profitable for all. Jobs, careers and establishing ones quality of life are some of the results to expect
MOTIVATION
The very nature and make-up of anyones skills banks, talents, gifts and abilities causes them to stir, call-out and literally beg to be used & if not creating an … (11 comments)

incentives: REAL ESTATE COMMISSION ESSENCE (discussion) - 03/04/18 06:50 AM
The always present subject found in big some big business especially Real Estate is commission or the cost of hiring an agent to handle the transaction to a likely result. If a buyer is on the hunt, they want an agent that excels in that. If it be a seller, an agent who practices just that. Why? Because each dynamic has its specific issues and advantages that shift back and forth as they should
FINDING EQUITABLE
Buying and selling agents bring a balance (or win) for their principal while at the same time including themselves. This is done everywhere in commerce. The system is very … (0 comments)

incentives: MONEY BASED OUTCOMES? (consider this) - 10/07/17 06:34 AM
Incentives whose purpose is to motivate people to come together for services and products are part of the human experience and makes perfect sense. In its simplest form and origins, one would trade what they had or did for another's goods or services. The end result was that both the seller and the buyer (both traders) would prosper. Satisfaction was subjective
WIN-WIN
If one was happy with the trade, purchase or product then it was a success. On the lesser levels of exchanging i.e. from one person to another, this is not complex. One would make "business" as necessary repeating it as needed. Where it … (2 comments)

incentives: Rainers: I SEE A "2" INSTEAD OF A "1" - 12/07/16 05:10 PM
NO...I did not drink excessive eggnog, over-eat, or wear out my prescription for my glasses. Nothing that simple. Instead, after so many years which seem like a blur of months, instead of looking at my 1 (one) million plus points everyday and not paying it any attention, I looked today and something caught my eye. It now reads 2.....!
THAT'S TWO MILLION
I remember signing up, getting points and having to pay my dues at that time to join to ActiveRain to blog. I gladly did as it was too much fun to not to PLUS blogging was here to stay. So ActiveRain became my preferred … (108 comments)

incentives: POINTS ANONONYMUS RECOVERY PROGRAM - 06/19/15 03:04 AM
Anyone who had signed up for ActiveRain has been introduced to the world of points. Points for what you might ask? Well, just about everything having to do with the site and your involvement in it. If you get into ActiveRain, they give you points. Of course you get posting, blogging and commenting privileges and more...too
BUDDY, CAN YOU SPARE A DIME?
One of the unfortunate side affects of the point reward system is its addicting qualities. THINK: Same dynamic at the all you can eat places. You eat until you cannot and driving it is ancient DNA which I will refer as the FREE gene. Its … (39 comments)

incentives: LOW COMMISSION EQUALS NO SHOWING? - 05/24/15 02:25 AM
What an interesting subject matter this is. It crosses over into ethics, honesty, fiduciary, fair and honest, financial dealings and just plain out making a living. However, there has to be a right way to proceed that supersedes all opinions. I am going to tell you what that is and you are going to say it makes sense...BUT
SERVICING THE CUSTOMER
It is called customer service. We are for sale, for hire and offer services to help buyers, sellers, investors and the like; to form, shape and then carry out Real Estate centered activities. Who but agents in the business that move hundreds of thousands … (133 comments)

incentives: SKIN IN THE GAME IS THE GLUE - 10/25/14 12:24 AM
Motivation. What a an important word and action. You need it to just get out of bed. To go anywhere, do something, you have to have a reason coupled with a drive. Going to the market, movies, your neighbors house, work, play or hobbying, one has to have the WANT TOO ...do these things and willingly too
WE ALL HAVE TO FIND WHAT WORKS
Let's apply the dynamic to wages. People know what a fair deal or shake is. Everyone has an idea of what they need to receive in exchange for goods and or services. I used to ask general laborers … (10 comments)

incentives: GIVE ME A SMOOTHIE transaction that is - 08/25/14 08:21 AM
A principal or a client, buyer, seller or investor does the right thing and hires a professional to get the Real Estate transaction to perform predictably from start to finish. Good and sound thinking on their part. Now, the agent is ready and begins the process. If all goes well and according to procedures, we get a SMOOTHIE..a smooth transaction
SLEEVES GET ROLLED UP
If those wild cards, unknowns, hidden issues, clouds, liens, disputes, small print, change in terms, lawsuits, at risk earnest monies, stress, threats, mis-communications and worst case scenarios kick in, well then the professional you hired is there to make it all … (2 comments)

incentives: POINTS FOR BLOGGING CAN MATTER - 07/01/14 06:50 AM
Having a gimmick go to work for you is like stumbling on a gold vein...If properly handled, it can turn into a mother lode. Allowing people to trade in points for rewards and goodies thus making them want to earn more will cause a tremendous spike in success and who knows what else...Opportunities like this come when they come...
FREE? WHERE? HOW?
Think this through. If someone has reached 500,000 points, then they get to play in the rain for free! Many find that out and go blog nuts to get there. When starting toward this worthy goal, time moves ever so slow … (2 comments)

incentives: WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE STAKEHOLDER - 06/29/14 04:39 AM
You simply have a vested interest in the current and future outcome of something if you have skin in the game. If you have an incentive, if you are properly motivated to be involved and care, then you will. That's why minimum wage if kept low doesn't work. If people have nothing to gain, then whats the point?
MINIMIZE RISK...PROMOTE THE GAIN
Apply the having a stake principal to anything. I have a gardener. Two guys and a truck come out once a week and they have to have it make sense for them to do so. They are not doing me a favor. … (0 comments)

incentives: REAL ESTATE IS NOT FOR DREAMING ABOUT - 11/04/13 12:26 AM
Many people choose this profession to dream about getting into and then bring their version of that dream to bear which turns out to be a nightmare. I want to be or practice Real Estate is right up there with I want to be a movie star or be very rich. Oh, all I need to do is this or that and then and then...AND THEN what?
THIS BUSINESS REQUIRES LOVE
I love this profession for what it allows me to do and what I get from the doing of it. My skills banks comes alive helping put together a major transaction that … (11 comments)

incentives: IF YOUR HEART AINT IN IT WHY ARE YOU DOING IT - 02/08/12 09:54 AM

Think about this for a while. This is rampant wherever you go. In college, people are there that do not want to be there. Some people cant stand their place of employment. Others watch children and put up with it. Some guy answers the phone in a department and hates it.....we see this happening all over the place.....

WHY DON'T YOU  STOP DOING SOMETHING IF YOUR HEART IS NOT IN IT......EVERYONE SUFFERS FOR IT...But I need the money... I cant find anything else... The benefits are good... This is only temporary......

Okay, lets start with Real Estate … (57 comments)
