transportation: RIDING THE LOCAL TRAIN

I decided to leave the car behind and investigate the Metro and its link to my desired destination instead. So, I went online and researched it all. It made sense and also presented sort of like a new adventure too. Not having to fight the stop & go traffic, smells, and heat, the train was worth looking into HEY...THIS IS ALRIGHT It went as planned and I enjoyed staring out the windows and seeing life from another point of view instead of bumper to bumper. These cars (BMW) will turn off when at a stop light and when the light turns green, start up again and off you go. Apparently it is a gas-saving technique. Now, I am going to admit that I have always heard that starting and stopping a car engine wastes gas and puts wear and tear on things...Now they say different COMING SOON TO AMERICA Not only that, but American cars will be introducing this in 2012 as a standard feature. If you own a car, you need gas to run it. In purchasing a vehicle in today's economic climate, the price of gas has to weigh heavily on ones thought process. I mean your whole investment for a car makes no sense unless gas is affordable. Which begs the question and an answer of the title of this post HAVE CAR...WILL NOT TRAVEL For those of us who own cars, I use mine sparingly.
