How can someone not pay their mortgage for years and still remain in the house? Here in California, after 90 days, they file a NOD and then start the process for a Trustee sale within 3 weeks.  Unless the borrower shows some signs of responding either by moving, paying, modifying or short selling, the system should move it right along as designed.

In parts one (1) & two (2) of the post of the same titles, we are learning what happens to people who are facing foreclosure, what the Banks and investors are thinking and doing, and how the people that need to know  all this are the last to know but....... are the first to get hurt.
So, here is what can happen to a owner who is caught in his own foreclosure regardless of how he got there.........and of course there are variations galore on this most miserable journey.

trustee sale: SNEAKY BANK OF AMERICA LOAN MODS TAKES THE CAKE........... - 06/03/10 02:38 AM
I have clients that have been negotiating a loan modification with this bank for 1.5 years now. They have sent in all that has been required and requested and then they have sent it in again and again.
In addition, they have been in contact with this Bank 1-2 times a week for over 14 months trying to get the case closed and settled. After repetitive contacts and visiting with all the different departments and of course the famous on hold for Guinness record times......they state that the mod is FINALLY going out in 2 weeks.
