My Doctor asked me if I was going to go Bass fishing this year.
"Of course" I responded.
Well, you better change your ways or you may not live that long.
So, I am taking control of my health...
I joined 5 baseball teams for excercise.
OK OK, so they are fantasy teams, but it keeps my mind sharp.
I am jumping to conclusions...great for the legs.
My doctor said I need more greens...
So, now if I get out and fish more I can eat more fish and less red meat.
It's a WIN WIN situation!

A parent of a friend of mine, had a car accident.
No one got hurt with the exception of some minor brusing.
But, it is time for the parent to stop driving. Because of the accident, the parent has had the license taken away until they can pass the test again.
There is a non-foolproof way of telling when you should stop driving...

I took it easy yesterday.
I didn't over indulge.
But it didn't really matter.
It was a test to see if I had had to much. I failed.
So what was the test...
After 4 beer...
The really sad part is that this morning wasn't any better. If you say it real slow, you may get it. For me, I quit trying...I still have 1 green beer leftand It will be gone soon! Hey...it has to be 5 o'clock somewhere.

Especially when you lose a loved one.
Now that I have seen 39 years many many many many times over, this thought does creep into my head.
So this is my thought...
When I go, I want to go peacefully in my sleep, not screaming like the passengers in his car were.

It is 9 pm in North Branch Minnesota.
It is also -22. I just got home from the grocery store and the whinning I heard made me chuckle.
Yes it is a bit chilly, but this is close to normal.
Just imagine being unhappy about the -20 degrees without the wind and then have to get out of your car to fill with gas and find that the price went up another 10 cents.

Well the global warming/climate change is a big issue and it will stay that way long into the future.
It has caused droughts and floods. Snow where it should rain and rain where it never rains.

It is hard to believe what studies have to report.
If two different views of an issue studied it will be slanted to their interests.
And then you get the studies that are funded through grants from the government. I remember one done on the mating habits of mosquito's.
But for the most part when the results are given, there is little surprise.
It is like a study that talks about why women live longer than men...
Now guys...do any of you dispute this study?
