teaching: IF WE DID (and did not do) WHAT CONGRESS DOES - 01/27/19 06:42 AM
When did the idea of letting your inner dysfunction become normal and supportive thus becoming acceptable take place in Congress? If there is error in a person it has to surface so that it can be gotten rid of and not repeated. Think: I once was lost but now I am found. That is the way to becoming a better more productive person.
IF CONGRESS IS THE EXAMPLE....
Here we will present a list of products, situations and services that follow the dysfunction of Congress and see if you think they have a future? I don't even like the concept let alone the circumstances but … (10 comments)

teaching: WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY SHOULD COME CHANGE - 01/06/15 06:22 AM
Why are they still teaching certain courses in school that are outdated or don't apply in today's technological world? Help me understand this. We now have spell check and grammar check capability so shouldn't we shift the courses to reflect that? Wait there is more.........
ANSWERS ARE EVERYWHERE
What about mathematics? Doesn't calculators and applications solve our everyday computations effectively and efficiently? You can even ask Google to solve a formula and it will. Why then are we not tweaking this in our curriculum's? Algebra? Who the heck uses this daily? For those that do, go at it

teaching: REPEATING WHAT DOESN'T WORK? - 09/29/14 08:12 AM
If you do this and expect a different result, you are summoning insanity. It gets worse too. It's your insanity which is the the stubbornest and most unreasonable plus you cant walk away from it like you can when it is others insanity about. We should test all things to see if they perform and then weed those beliefs out if they don't
LISTEN TO THE FRONT LINE TEACHERS
When I exercise via hiking, I meet up with some very interesting people. Lately, I have been running into teachers. Their biggest concern is to teach and to teach well and their biggest obstacle is the curriculum's that is … (2 comments)

teaching: THE LESSONS ONE LEARNS IN THE TRENCHES - 09/09/14 03:56 AM
Try as they may, college cannot prepare you for the experience of life. Neither can military training, Internship in the medical arena or law school. NASA trains astronauts but cannot help them once they are up there. There is something about being in the water that teaches what staring or learning about it does not. Experience has no substitute or equal
IN THE MIX
Watching contestants on a game show playing and applying all they have to play to win is entertaining and even invites the viewer to second guess or critic the players while enjoying them in the game. Now, from the players point of view, it is all new … (4 comments)

teaching: MANAGEMENT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE - 06/24/14 05:33 AM
When we use the word manager nowadays, one thinks of the perks and the extra money that goes with the title. But the word itself....Manager comes from the word MANAGE which is intended to mean the supervision and caring of other people, places, and things.
THE BUCK STOPS HERE
This is a tremendous responsibility to both your employer, your fellow workers and the consumer public. What a manager does or does not do AND how they do it will determine just how well things will or will not end up.
MANAGER ON

teaching: THE COMMUNICATOR HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO COMMUNICATE - 06/05/13 11:15 PM
How often in college..... I used to see hands go up with puzzled faces on the first day of class right after the syllabus was handed out. Just first glance at the class instruction tells you that something is not clear and the questions that followed proved it. People think just because they have written or said something.....that it was received. That is your first mistake and unless corrected, your last....
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMMUNICATOR......TO COMMUNICATE

teaching: PEARLS FOR THE SOUL BOOK SAMPLES OF UPLIFTING AND POSITIVE SAYINGS - 07/14/11 11:20 AM
Hallmark cards did it for years...they came up with catchy sayings for every occasion designed to accompany a gift or an occasion and people loved them. Now, something else has come into the world of gift giving that satisfies any occasion and goes deeper in a more meaningful and personal way. It speaks to your insides and doesn't stop
DON'T READ BUT PONDER AND REFLECT
To be sipped like fine wine and not read through. That is the secret. Take one or two of these a day and let them stir your insides to reflect, ponder, or to have good discussion … (0 comments)
