Happy new Year is making the rounds and I want to emphasize that other little word associated with Happy New Year that we hear about every year but don't spend enough quality time or emphasis on it i.e. the word HAPPY. Without the word happy...just saying New Year New Year to each other doesn't quite connect. We need more and the word happy fits the bill! HAPPY DEFINED A showing of pleasure or contentment driven by feelings and well-being with a specific destination namely the human being. I like Star Wars. I have seen them all and enjoyed them when they came out. Yes to the flaws, inconsistencies, less than stellar performances and story-lines. Those things didn't stop me from having a good time. They still don't. The woman is a giver of self, profession and life. KATHY STREIB Every week I have fond feelings stirred by her when she presents loving a list of posts that moved her to do so. If you visit Disneyland, you wont notice right away what I am about to share. It is completely surrounded with a BERM of either trees or walls but the end result is when you enter into the LAND OF DISNEY, all other lands are blocked out. Walt didn't want you looking at traffic, roof tops, cars, outside buildings or street lamps. He controlled the environment you were now in once you bought a ticket SELLING AND BUYING REAL ESTATE My listings have the same dynamic. So do my rentals too. In any profession or retail environment whether it be online, in person or bricks and mortar, if you say you are going to do something or that something can be done if you are hired to do it...well get to it or get out of town! People want what their money can buy OPTIMISM GOES SO FAR I remember people who were unemployed applying for jobs... any jobs and during the interview process when asked if they could perform the necessary duties would respond that they could do anything when called upon. I have worked with investors who are seasoned and have a trained eye. They scour and roam the Real Estate countrysides (and other places) looking for potential deals to PLANT or SEED their money in.....But it did not start out that way.....You see it takes years of saving money in some instances to even consider playing the INVESTMENT game. Then perhaps you may pool with others and venture out there to do investor. Money that you have worked hard for called "SWEAT" money cannot be just gambled away. WHATS THE NEXT GIMMICK? In 2005, I completed my college degree (s) just to see what everyone was talking about. I was reminded that having a diploma is not a big deal. It is what you do with it that counts. It is like a license to perform a task, the tasks that require standard knowledge and education. One person made a statement to me I never forgot.... A college degree in the business world, in the world of recruiters, and human resource personnel says... that you have finished something that you started. The Ray Conniff singers back in 1959 introduced this beautiful song of which I share the lyrics below. It is sung sort of DISNEY style meaning that there is lots of women and men chorus in the background hitting the high notes and making you just feel swell all over. Disney ended all his animated movies with this type of singing. It had you reaching for Kleenex A TREAT FOR THE HEART I thought the words were worthy to repeat.
