Lets be frank. We don't usually over-indulge (I hope so) as a rule. For the many that do, having a holiday that supports eating drinking and the like gives permission thus making it okay to do so? The thing is it is not okay to over-do but instead "to do" and the wise know the difference. If one is going to break all the rules do it this way DO IT AT HOME You may eat, drink, sing, talk or scream to your hearts content and your home is still your castle. This continues to be a very tough subject for many adults who grew up in dysfunctional family environments. The title of this post applies to any subject you can imagine. How about your boss is trying to explain something to you and he/she doesn't do a very good job of it and you are tempted to judge them on presentation and when you do so, you missed the message. I speak with clarity and conviction...I also practice "I don't know " when I don't know". Have you noticed how people may agree , but not agree by the sound or tone of their reply? Your YES should be crisp, clear and unmistakable for its purity and simplicity. Your NO should mean exactly what it says too CONFUSION & DOUBT....IS OUT & ABOUT The problem begins when people say one thing and mean another. You find this rampant in parent child relationships. Now show a little restraint here. I am only sharing mine because it is amusing and harmless. It means the same thing as yours, but does less damage to the public at large. When I used to work at Disneyland years ago, I noticed that they had ticket takers that ranged in age from 25-75 years old. Everyone is kind, courteous, and helpful when admitting you into the Park...I couldn't help seeing the the elderly got more of a joy out of it especially with the young kids coming in... THE AWE OF IT ALL They knew how special it would be for a young kid to come into Disneyland and they lend that knowledge to make it extra special. Where does one begin on a subject like this...? I mean what does a teenager know about anything..? Think about it. Quite a few of us didn't seize the opportunities that High School presented. I have memory of quite a few girls who didn't have good homes getting into trouble early on It is not easy growing up and having more questions then answers. How often in college..... I used to see hands go up with puzzled faces on the first day of class right after the syllabus was handed out. Just first glance at the class instruction tells you that something is not clear and the questions that followed proved it.
