For those avoiding controversial stuff, it is not about religion. But it is not about Real Estate, either.
1991. We just a couple of months in the US, in the Bronx, to be exact. We are so poor, that we do not even understand that we have what so many Americans don’t. Free medical everything. This magic thing is called Medicaid.

What I started writing was a totally different blog. This was supposed to be a short preamble, but it immediately went out of hand and overpowered me, and kept me in intense stress until I finally finished it.  
July, 1991. Bronx. 100+F.
Our first month in US. Poor like church mice. Living by basic instincts. Day-to-day survival. As close to reflexes as is humanly possible. Pavlov would be glad to watch us.
We are helped by Jewish organizations, and we know it is a break for us to get on the feet.

18 years ago today a PanAm Boeing 747 made it to JFK from Moscow. Among other anxious passengers on board, it carried our family of 4. Me, my wife, my son, who turned 19 while on the plane, and my daughter, a few months shy of her 18.
We did not come to conquer the world, but to live a normal human life. Not to change the way others live, but to change the way we lived. And where was a better place to start it then New York City?
