birthday: A Birthday Party.

It was the grand daughters Birthday today. Like good Grand Parents, we made the 3 and 1/2 hour trip, one way, today and made it back home also. We had a great time but the cake was unusual. It did take some time to make from scratch... I am not sure how she made all the colors in the cake, but it was good. … (7 comments)

I received several calls and E-mails wishing a Happy Birthday. It seams that some people can't keep news like this under hats...can they Vern! But, that being said, I do thank all those that responded to Vern's blog and to those that contacted me directly. Now, for the rest of the night, I am going to shut business off, that is unless my phone rings! Oops, almost forgot. Someone asked me how many times I have been 39. Well the answer to that is JUST ONCE. I never played that game. So for those still wondering...I am pushing 70!

Thanks to my agent Vern, (I guess you say thanks) I received several E-Mails and phone calls from friends here in the rain. I would like to thank all the well wishers for their contacts. Have you ever noticed that some days if it were not for friends and family, you would have no enemies at all? An example. My Dad, 79, called and told me... "Bill, don't worry, you aren't getting old. Today is my sister-in-laws birthday. She hit the big 60 today. We had a great family get-together, with a lot of laughs and liquid libations. Being the shy person she is, she made me promise not to show her picture on my site. So I did agree, but, Here is a picture of the cake.
